The NorthFace Yak Attack

The NorthFace Yak Attack is a mountain bike race that takes riders from Kathmandu to Beni, via Nuwakot, Gorka and the Annapurna circuit. It has been taking place in Nepal since 2007 and is now internationally recognised as one of the toughest races on the mountain biking calendar and as the highest mountain bike race on Earth.

In 2015 there will be riders from Australia, UK, Korea, Japan, Sweden, Bhutan, Colombia, Italy, Spain, Belgium,  Austria and of course Nepal.

The event which is sponsored by The NorthFace Nepal and supported by Yeti Travels has never been won by an international rider with Nepal National mountain bike champion, Ajay Pandit Chhetri winning 4 out of the last 5 years.

The race kicks off from Shivapuri on November 7th and concludes in Tatopani on November 15th, after which the riders enjoy 2 days relaxing at the lakeside in Pokhara, before returning to Kathmandu on the 18th.
