17th Pokhara Street Festival to be held in Lakeside

The 17th Pokhara Street Festival will be held from 28 December, 2015 to 1 January, 2016 in Lakeside, Pokhara on the eve of the English New Year 2016. The organizers behind the annual event, Pokhara Chapter of the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN), hope to promote tourism, culture and arts through the festival.
Thousands of revelers are expected to attend the festival this year with the hope that domestic and international tourists will come back to Pokhara to celebrate and welcome the New Year in style. Pokhara Street Festival is the biggest street festival in Nepal.
Past highlights have included live music, food stalls, pop-up restaurants, pop-up bars, celebrity appearances, traditional dances, elephant parades etc. The organizers hope that the 17th edition of the popular festival will provide a much needed boost to local businesses in Pokhara.
