‘Hike for knowledge’ all set for this weekend

Bookmandu Nepal in collaboration with You Hike They Rise will welcome hundreds of hikers on 30th January for a picturesque hike through Mahadevbesi- Gagnapani- Bhirpani.
Bookmandu is a Kathmandu based non-profit organization established in 2012 that works to improve the quality of education in remote areas of Nepal by sourcing book donations and restoring them in libraries of community schools. You Hike They Rise is a social campaign to inspire both domestic and international tourists to travel in/to Nepal to be part of the rebuilding campaign.
This Saturday’s hike titled “Hike for Knowledge” is being organized under the theme of “Walk with Locals, Cook with Locals and Eat with Locals”. The funds raised from the event will be directed to the Himalchuli Primary School attended by students from marginalized communities.
In the long run, Bookmandu Nepal is also working with Nepal Tourism Board to promote Gaganpani-Virpani-Gaganpani hike as one of the attractive hiking routes around Kathmandu.
Tickets to the full day event cost Rs 1000 and include two way transports by local bus, two meals and professional photographs of the event.
