‘Nepal Festival’ successfully concluded in Bangkok

A five-day ‘Nepal Festival’ organised by the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), Thailand chapter, and the Embassy of Nepal in Thailand was held from April 21 to 25 in Bangkok.
The festival was inaugurated by the Nepalese Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel, Thai Minister of Culture Vira Rojpojchanarat and Thai Vice Minister for Tourism Chavanee Tongroach. Event highlights included display of product and services by Nepalese organizations including Nepal Tourism Board, Lumbini Development Trust, and Nepal Airlines, authentic Nepali shops, photo exhibition, and cultural performances.
A statement released by the Embassy of Nepal, Bangkok stated that the Nepal Festival which concluded on April 25 was deemed successful in promoting and publicising Nepali products as well as Nepal as a tourism destination.
Additionally, special events were organized across Bangkok to commemorate the loss of lives in the Gorkha earthquake last year. A candle light vigil was organised in memory of the lost lives in the earthquake.
