Independent.ie picked Nepal as one of the Top 4 honeymoon destinations for 2016. Other destinations on the list include Italy, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Nepal tied with Oman at No 3 on the list with the portal recommending taking “a couple’s adventure in Nepal followed by beach bliss in Oman”.

Nepal does attract a lot of foreign couples wishing to get married in a non-traditional Hindu or Buddhist wedding ceremonies. Also, with gay marriages being made legal in the country, more and more foreigners fly to Nepal for meaningful and unique weddings.
