As part of the ongoing efforts to ‘build back better’, Rotaract Nepal with the support of Rotary District 3292 and Thai Nepali Association has successfully concluded the construction of semi- permanent shelters for 46 families and a community center in Majhi Gaun Sikharapur of Sindupalchowk district.

Nepal has been rallying behind it’s quake-affected communities with local line agencies, volunteer groups, organizations and local communities coming together to get behind the #buildbackbetter motto.

Mass international media coverage focused mainly on the destruction in the immediate aftermath of the April quake. However, Nepal is back in business and extensive efforts have been made by private institutions, NGOs, INGOs, volunteer organizations, volunteer groups and the government of Nepal to ensure Nepal stands proud and tall again despite the natural calamity.

It is also paramount that the message Nepal is safe and open for business be communicated to the world as it’s economic recovery relies heavily on the Nepalese tourism industry which has suffered a direct hit post quake.
