Photo Kathmandu, a new inclusion to international photography festival circuit, is being held in patan from November 3 till November 9. The initial edition of the event intents to serve as a platform for interaction between photography, history, anthropology and a wide array of the arts. The festival showcases exhibitions, slide shows, artist talks, workshops, portfolio reviews and other events, working basically in public spaces in and around Patan city.

A photograph can bring back endless memories and can literally take you back in time to the places. Time that is gained or lost; time that records and repeats, challenges and celebrates. The first edition of photo Kathmandu focuses on this central theme Time. The exhibition features various works of Nepali and visiting photographers who have captured Nepali history over the past six decades.p

Photo Kathmandu is organized by photo.cirlce, a vibrant platform for photography established in the year 2007.

There are 2 info points in Patan that will be staffed by the volunteers from 10 am to 7pm fron 3-9 November 2015. Guests can collect free festival map and event schedules at these two points. Festival merchandise and photography publications are also available for sale.
