‘Yak Attack’ on a Fatbike to raise funds for Nepal

Matt Rousu of Mount Beauty, Australia is set to challenge one of the world’s hardest mountain bike races, Yak Attack 2015 on a Fatbike to raise funds for the Seven Schools in Seven Weeks challenge by Nepal Cyclists Ride to Rescue (NCCR).

Rousu registered for the competition last year after his online research on the toughest mountain bike competitions in the world. However after the earthquake in Nepal, a personal challenge took on a bigger meaning when he decided to use his race as a fund raiser for NCCR who aim to build seven schools in seven weeks beginning this December with the target of raising over $100000 for the project. The members of this group are not only the best mountain bikers in Nepal but were also one of the first to reach communities around the valley cut off by landslides during the quake with relief.

Rousu aims to raise $2000 for the project by documenting his race and being the first person to complete the trail on a Fatbike.
