Adventure Ski Training in Annapurna Base Camp

Adventure skiing training and festival is set to take place at Annapurna base camp. The 13-day ‘Ski for Nepal’ programme with cost free training organised by the Ski and Snowing Foundation is aimed at increasing additional tourism activities at the Annapurna Base Camp during winter season. The event is to take place in the base camp of Annapurna mountain.

Ski sporting skills, methods and art would be imparted to the trainees in the base camp for five days. The programme would kick off on February 10. As many as 50 participants including domestic and foreigners would take part in the programme to be held in the site with an altitude of around 4,100 meters, shared Foundation Chairperson Utsav Pathak.

Skiing and Heli-Skiing is a new sport in Nepalese Himalayas. Considering the fact that Nepal is home to 8 of the highest mountains in the world, skiing in Nepal is something to look forward to.
