Benedict Cumberbatch gets in touch with his spiritual side in Nepal

Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch was in Kathmandu on November to shoot scenes for his upcoming Marvel superhero movie Doctor Strange. Cumberbatch was spotted filming scenes for the upcoming marvel franchise around the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple,Patan Durbar Square and on the busy streets of New Road and Thamel. His character travels to Nepal to seek out the help of a sorcerer in his new film Doctor Strange.
Cumberbatch took leverage of a break from shooting the superhero movie to visit a monastery, where he learned about Buddhism and was given a private blessing by a monk. He enjoyed a deep conversation with Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche at the Shechen Monastery in Nepal. The entire crew members were seen indulging themselves poring over religious documents and opening up about faith.
On an interview with Entertainment Daily, Cumberbatch said that, ‘It was a very unfair exchange. Basically, they taught me reams, fathoms, more than I could possibly begin to teach them. I became interested the meeting point between Western logic and Eastern mysticism.’
