On a mission! – Safe Canyoning

Well! It took me two years to convince our boys and girls from our little Chiti village in Lamjung to try canyoning and train as guides to supplement their income. Most of the youth living in the mid hills of Nepal has no way of earning extra cash unless they work in the paddy fields or do odds jobs here are there!

Because of the lack of opportunities in their own community, they are forced to leave their community for menial jobs in gulf countries. There are so many opportunities in the mid hills of Nepal for Canyoning and other adventure activity.

I am on a mission to try to change that and introduce safe canyoning practices as well as train new guides to the highest standard with the help from various organisation and individual from all around the world! Canyoning is least explored in Nepal yet the possibility is huge. If promoted properly it can transform the Canyoning tourism in the mid hills of Nepal – creating opportunities for youth as well as the community as a whole in adventure tourism!

Thank you Rich Carlson Rajendra Lama Dabi Rajesh Igor Terra Nova Karna Lama Kumar Ram Silwal Endra Rai Bahing Keshav Pandey Deepak Nepal as well as all the friends and family for believing in me. I can not thank you guys enough!

There are so many names that I would love to include, but the post will be too long…

One Love!
