Looking Back at Buzz Aldrin’s Journey in Nepal

The Famous Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the man who landed on the moon, just recently completed his 5 day maiden trip to Nepal. He had landed on Kathmandu on Sep 4 and ended his journey  with a talk in the National Academy Hall. During his talk, he encouraged all Nepali youth to dream the impossible and strive for something impossible for humankind.

In his nearly an hour-long presentation at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu , the Lunar Module pilot in Apollo 11 while sharing his experiences of landing and walking on the moon, said “We made it (an “impossible” dream) possible to land and walk on the moon through the collective efforts.” Saying that Nepali youth could easily achieve any impossible dream in their lifetime if they put their hands together, the moon-walker said that he wanted to inspire the world to bring a human settlement to the Mars.

“It is achievable though it sounds impossible for now.”
