With a motive of increasing tourists inflow in Nepal, Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) have jointly launched a campaign named ‘Athiti Dewo Bhawa’. The campaign was initiated by the Tourism Promotion Committee of NRNA headed by NRNA Vice President Bhawan Bhatta. NRNA official said they initially sought support from NTB and the national tourism organization further enhanced the campaign by bringing MoCTCA on board.
“With support of the tourism ministry, we are hopeful of taking the campaign worldwide,” Bhatta said, adding that the campaign aims to increase flow of tourists to Nepal. NRNA and NTB have signed an agreement to promote the campaign worldwide.
“Though Nepal is rich in terms of cultural and natural attractions, the country is not receiving sufficient number of tourists,” Bhatta said at the signing ceremony, adding: “The basic objective of the campaign is to increase the flow of quality tourists as well as the number of tourists.”
Other objectives of the campaign includes increasing flow of domestic tourists and promoting tourism attractions of Nepal throughout the world through NRNA network.
