Namaste – A Himalayan Journey

Namaste- A Himalayan Journey is a documentary filmed for Doctors for Nepal, a British NGO that works to support rural healthcare facilities in Nepal and provides scholarships to students from impoverished backgrounds.

The movie will premier on March 19 at Old Market Brighton, and all the proceeds of the screening will go towards supporting the rural health projects in Nepal. Filmed over two years, the movie features Doctor Kate Yarrow and follows the incredible journeys that people in remote parts of Nepal undertake to reach basic healthcare.

“I am exhausted and I am not pregnant,” comments Kate as she follows a woman being ferried up the hill on piggyback in a conical basket.

The movie was produced by Emmy Award winning producer, Cesca Eaton and aims to capture the amazing stories of survival and resilience of the people of Nepal.
