In 2013 Mr. Paulger packed his bag and set out to trek in the Himalayas. He trekked in the Khumbhu region right up to the Everest base camp. Mr. Paulger was so enchanted with the landscape and the people of Nepal that he decided to visit the country again but this time with his family; wife and mother. He booked for a trip to Nepal in the autumn of 2015. This time around it was not trekking that he wanted his family to see but the impressive architecture and culture of Nepal. Alas a major earthquake struck Nepal on the 25th of April 2015 throwing all that the Paulger family had planned over the past two years into disarray.
After a lot of thought, the family decided to go ahead with the trip. This September 9, 2015, they were here. On the drive from the airport to Thamel they were surprised to see everything running and still standing unlike the message that the International media had portrayed Nepal to be after the earthquake.
Over dinner with Bipin, Mr. Paulger said he was very happy that he and his family decided to come to Nepal in spite of the negative message in the international media. They look forward to visiting various world heritage sites and indulge in various activities within the Kathmandu Valley.
