Rebuild Nepal

Twenty years from now, we will be more saddened by the things we didn’t do in life rather than those which we did. Looking back at the risks we were unable to take and the chances we missed will disappoint us even more than the things we have done. They say life is too short to live it in fear. Future is uncertain and unpredictable, so make the best out of everyday and enjoy life to the fullest. For me, life is all about traveling. A few weeks ago, I went on a family trip to the UAE. A city in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, is known for its luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and lively nightlife scene. After spending a wonderful vacation in Dubai, I returned back to my beautiful hometown Nepal.

Nepal, with its diverse cultures and tradition, is a mecca for wanderers, and no less than Dubai as a tourist destination. Nepal is a heaven of sorts where different cultures co-exist together in peace and harmony. Kathmandu Valley- the capital of Nepal is rich in cultural heritage. It possesses several historical monuments, old palaces and Durbar Square, shrines and temples, ageless traditions and legends; all making it a lively museum that any visitor would cherish in his/her heart for ever. Nepal is a land of lord Pashupatinath(the holiest Hindu temple in the world) and the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. We are wealthy in terms of temples and historic places. Some of our assets are Bouddhanath, Swayambu, Budhanilkantha, Muktinath, etc. Out of the 14 thousand’s in the world, eight of these gigantic mountains are located in Nepal. We are the land of Mount Everest(Sagaramatha), the highest peak in the world. Trekking in the himalays is the best way to get to know about life in the mountains. It can even help you rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Pokhara, the lake city of Nepal, provides ample opportunities for fishing, swimming, canoeing, boating, cycling, bunjee jumping, paragliding,ultralight flight along with sightseeing of majestic panoramic views. Please the traveller in you by getting around scenic places like Nagarkot, Sundarijal, Jhor, Chisapani, Dhulikhel, Godvari, etc. Enjoy the night life at Thamel street which is forever radiant and vibrant. Natural calamities are imminent. Instead of grieving about something that has already be done, we nepalis believe in pulling ourselves together and getting back stronger than ever before. Even after the devastating earthquake, we are proactive in rebuilding what we lost and reviving the tourism industry. Dwelling into the past causes no good. This is the time when Nepal needs visitors more then ever before. It is time to welcome guests with our warm ‘Namaste!’ and dazzle them with our charm. This is the time to rebuild Nepal.
