Recalling my trip to Bandipur- A must be place

Bandipur is a scenic and beautiful mountain resort town located in the east of Pokhara Valley. Bandipur is just 4 hours drive from Kathmandu and 80km from Pokhara. Originally a simple Magar Village, Bandipur was inhabited by the newars in the nineteenth century taking advantage of its malaria-free location to develop it into an important stop on the India-Tibet trade route. Newar people are warm and courteous. They are renowned for their craftsmanship. Bandipur is left untouched by modernization and laced with plenty of ancient newari houses, temples of great essence and historical architecture, this medieval-era town boasts festivals all year around, besides a deluge of cultural offerings.

Bandipur is a small and easily reachable town where you can enjoy the peace and serenity of life in the foothills of Himalayas. The tourism industry in Nepal can learn a lot about tourism from people in Bandipur- no need to travel abroad to get inspiration. They believe and follow the motto “Preserve, value and respect heritage and culture – of course in a changing world – and comfort, then you have the recipe for success.” There are abundant numbers of hotels, guest houses, cafes, etc in Bandipur. The old town is free from noise pollution as motorcycles and cars are not allowed there. Plus, it is a free WiFi zone. That is what the tourists look for. They look for authenticity and comfort. I would like to say that Bandipur is a highly recommendable place and you must be here once in your lifetime.
