Visit Nepal to Find Inner Peace

Amid the pressure of achieving targets, scrolling of social media 24/7 and divided minds leading to mental chaos, people are struggling to find love, happiness and peace. In addition, they are full of questions about human existence and own life.

Amid such, Nepal is the one-stop answer for all these queries and confusions and the only place to find inner peace and energy. Nepal is one of such destinations which can help people to find their roots or find themselves, according to mystics, religious gurus and spiritual leaders of the world. Be it through yoga, meditation, retreats, ayurveda or healing, the Himalayan country helps people to connect with faith and mysticism. Nepal is the gateway to the Himalayas which hosts 8 of the 14 highest 8,000 meter peaks in the world. Many have inscribed Himalayas as the center of the earth and a path towards heaven. Stating that all countries are stressed out at the moment, the bhikku thinks Nepal is a perfect blend of nature and spirituality to provide relaxation and mindfulness to people of the world.

In today’s world, when people are finding ways for wisdom, peace, clarity and compassion, Nepal comprises Lumbini, many great Buddhist teachers and beauty of Himalayas which can work as wisdom for a better life. The monk suggests Nepal to get inspired by global apps like Calm, with a billion dollar valuation, which have created an online experience of meditation and mindfulness. He says, ‘Nepal can be the first to create an offline experience of spiritual tourism.”

Vidyadhara Acharya Mahayogi Sridhar Rana Rinpoche, who has been sharing Buddhist meditation practice in different corners of the world, sees great potential of spiritual tourism in Nepal.

With many destinations like Langtang, Mustang, Tengboche located in the lap of mystic mountains and uncountable stupas and chaityas in and around Kathmandu valley with diverse and colorful culture, he says Nepal is the perfect spot to attain spirituality and inner peace by wandering around.

Nepal has everything to offer from a great geography, legends and spiritual leaders and many stories to connect to the people. Not limited to grandeur of nature and meditation and yoga, there are shrines, colorful festivals and most importantly, friendly people who can inspire others to attain a true and happy living. Be it the visit of a religious shrine or sacred temple or top of the hill or lake side or somewhere filled with silence, Nepal can help in seeking unresolved answers and can be a pathway to the balanced and harmonious living.

According to UNWTO, tourists take over 600 million national and international religious trips per year generating around 100 billion US dollars. Reports show that all these visitors are not just guided by religion, but by the faith to explore elements of life. Nepal has the birth place of Buddha – Lumbini – to holiest shrine of Hinduism – Pashupatinath Temple – which can provide one a sense of attainment and fulfillment even without having any relation with religion. For those who are not interested in religion, they can still recharge their souls by visiting these sites.
