Michelle Yeoh, a renowned hollywood actress, was recently in Nepal as a goodwill ambassador for UNDP. This was Yeoh’s second visit to Nepal post the earthquake. Talking about her visit to Nepal with John Narayan Parajuli for Kathmandu Post, Yeoh said,” It was always in my plans, in my heart, to come back and look at the ongoing post-earthquake relief work—the work that has been done.”

The main motive behind Yeoh’s visit to Nepal was to show the world that Nepal is safe and is ready for business. Yeoh plans to come back to Nepal again and do some trekking and hiking with some group of friends. Yeoh also seemed pretty excited about shooting her movies here if things work out accordingly. She said, “Well, you do have a spectacular landscape and I’m sure there are many stories to tell, so it’s really interesting meeting the young directors, and script writers—so hopefully, I will be able to get to work with them. Because we are very similar, you know, in the way we think, in the spiritual sense. And also in the way we look; so there could be a story there”
